I live on the 1300 block of Kenyon at (Kenyon Yes We Can Cooperative) and we have been having ongoing issues with illegal furniture dumping, dogs urinating on trees to the point they are dying before maturity and dog owners refusing to pick up their pets droppings. Residents and I are becoming overwhelmed by the stench of urine and dog droppings that can be smelled down the street at times and the constant illegal dumping. Can we get boxes placed around trees and cameras placed on light poles to capture these incidents and help track the culprits

A new burglar alarm system was installed at Tubman Elementary at 3101 13th Street in December. It has been going off once or twice a week since it was installed, most recently at 10am on February 21st. (Presidents day). Community members are wondering if there is any reason to believe that any of these activations have been from a malicious actor or if they are accidental activations that could be stopped with a change in policy. This is having a negative effect on the neighborhood and the neighbors along 13th Street between Irving and Kenyon, who are hopeful that the volume can be turned down, and that the system can be changed so that people who need access only can open the door if they also have the password to turn off the alarm.

From a neighbor: Little over a week ago Verizon was doing construction on the street in front of our house to install cable or something. They patched up the hole they had made that stretched across the street with asphalt. In the meantime snow and salt have been in eating away at the asphalt and left a giant pit in its place, since the asphalt is all but gone. Now whenever big trucks/busses pass over the hole our house it causes vibrations and noise. Photos provided by neighbor below.

Support for the full development of the dog park as an official dog park for the city, including a redesign of the space.

Residents have noted that more could be done to activate the civic plaza and support everyone in the community that wants to gather in the plaza sustainably

Many streets in 1A06, especially Park Road, between 13th and 14th, could benefit from more consistent cleaning

Neighbors on these streets connecting 13th and 11th streets, particularly through Lamont, have noted that traffic regularly moves too quickly for those streets, exceeding posted speed limits.
