Sadly, we are now subjected to a food vendor right across from the Taco Bell who is blasting Rap music on a daily basis. This person is blasting music as though he is in his own night club without any consideration for anyone else. The music is deafening and mostly loud screaming with choice obscenities and a thumping bass. Its become insufferable to live in this building and neighborhood. There is absolutely no reason why this should be allowed on many levels including the decibel level and that its not protected speech. This little area has become a nightmare.

Hello Carlos. I'm working with a noise expert to measure the impact of the noise at this intersection and have passed two resolutions supporting bills that would update the noise ordinance. I have also pushed on DC agencies and MPD to engage more on this issue. Beyond that there are unfortunately very few outlets. I can share that the city is planning, after pushback from myself and neighbors like yourself, to conduct a public realm study of columbia heights and I have successfully advocated for noise to be part of that study. I will add you to the newsletter I share so that you can receive regular updates.
